Some years we find gold when we are looking for Christmas specials, however today when we watched the animated movie "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer" from 2000, it wasn't one of them.

Surely an hour long movie adapted from a 3 minute novelty song from the 70's can't be all bad can it?

Can it??

This year for our 12 Days of Christmas we're looking at TV Oddities. A collection of quirky specials or episodes from years gone by.

And seeing as its also Friday the 13th, what better place to start than this delightful little story about a greedy wife bumping off her husband so she can cash in the insurance money on Christmas Eve with Tales From The Crypt Season 1 Episode 2 "...And All Through The House".

 

This month in our mini episode we cover some more Getting To Know You questions, this time tackling hard hitting topics such as What Makes You Angry, What Makes You Laugh, And our Proudest Achievements. 

It goes in some pretty strange tangents, and again seems like both of us need some therapy!

 

On the show this month we give our initial thoughts on "Borderlands 3", including Joe's issues with glitches, in games. Take the Netflix precision driving competition show "Hyperdrive" out for a spin in TV, and talk "Joker" and "Abominable" in movies.

Plus Joe gives us his review of the musical "Come From Away" and Mitch gets creative a learns how to blacksmith.

For the mini this month we thought we'd try something different, and maybe give the listeners a little bit of an insight into how our heads work.

Mitch has dug up a website that has 100 icebreaker questions, so this time around we cover such things as "who are your heroes?", "what's your biggest fear?" and "what would you like to change about yourself?" along with a couple more.

 

This month we haven't actually played many games, so instead talk about our pre-orders of Borderlands 3 and the latest Ultimate Game Pass deal on Xbox One.

Then in TV we have a spoiler free look at "Glow" Season 3, the original episodes the new show was based on finding their was onto the Tubi app, some cooking shows on Netflix, and re-watching "Glee", as well as the episode of Classic Albums on Amazon Prime that looks at The Beach Boys "Pet Sounds".

In movies Joe is disappointed with "Men In Black International" and Mitch doesn't really get the hype for "Midsommar". Plus Mitch goes to a high school production of "Rock Of Ages".

For our mini this month we continue our tradition of reviewing comic books and graphic novels relating to wrestling, and give you our take on The Comic Book Story Of Professional Wrestling.

Created by by Aubrey Sitterson & Chris Moreno, this graphic novel covers the story of wrestling from it's earliest days, right through to where we are today and what influenced the evolution of the sport over the decades.

 

This month we have a chat about the new free Borderlands 2 DLC, "Infinite Golf" and "Pac Man Man 256" in gaming, then cover some classic TV in "M.A.S.H." and "All Together Now", get all arty for the new Netflix reality glass blowing series "Blown Away", and have deep dive into our favourite parts of "Stranger Things" Season 3.

In movies we watch the strange Japanese documentary "Doglegs" via the Tubi TV app, discuss our kids reactions to "Lego Movie 2" and "Secret Life of Pets 2", and our recent cinema experience seeing "The Fast & The Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw" on opening night.

 

Every year in the US summer, Horrorcore rap group Insane Clown Posse run a youtube infomercial to promote their annual music and lifestyle festival, The Gathering Of The Juggalos.  This year it’s the 20^th anniversary, so it seems like the perfect time for Mitch and Joe to don their make-up and get down with the clowns and dive deep into what it means to be a fan of one of the most hated, yet strangely misunderstood bands of all time.

Whoop Whoop!

This month Joe checks out “Rocket League” and “Void Bastards” on Xbox One and the Fire Promoter DLC for “Fire Pro Wrestling World” on PC before we jump into TV and talk “Hip Hop Evolution”, re-watching “M.A.S.H”, “Good Omens”, Miley Cyrus in “Black Mirror” and probably dedicate much more time than need to “Forged In Fire: Knife or Death”.

In movies we have differing opinions on “Rim Of The World”, Mitch chats about Keanu Reeves  and Godzilla, and Joe gushes over “Rocketman”.

Plus we even sneak in a review of the “83 Weeks” live show too.

 

As usual we start off with a bit of gaming chat, including "PES 2019" from Joe and old school Nintendo DS and the Xbox 360 "Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions" from Mitch, before turning the discussion to TV with the Netflix docuseries "Street Food" and comedy-drama "Dead To Me", the endings of "Big Bang Theory" and "Doom Patrol", and a very spoiler heavy "Game Of Thrones" wrap up.

We even have a little bit of time to cover the movies "Pokemon: Detective Pickachu" and the Ted Bundy bio pic "Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil & Vile".

 

 

 

As Australia goes to the polls to choose a Prime Minister, we go back to a time when pulling a sword out of a stone was the way they picked their leaders, as we look at the 1981 John Boorman film, "Excalibur", to wrap up our 80's fantasy series.

This movie has it all, shiny suits of armour, dodgy effects, 80's fashion and even a bit of back-sack, but did we like it??
